Lagos is the financial and cultural powerhouse of Nigeria. It is the beautiful city that lies in south west part of Nigeria. It is famous for its beautiful worth seeing pictures queue. It is a city made up of many islands which are Lagos Island, Ikoyi Island, and Victoria Island and these are separated from the mainland by the main waterway draining the lagoon into the Atlantic forming Lagos Harbor.
Lagos was first the capital of Nigeria it was shorn of this label when the Federal Capital Territory was made at the purpose-built city of Abuja.

Traveling is always a great fun especially when the weather is according to your mood. The weather situations in Lagos are alike that of the rest of southern Nigeria. Mainly it has two rainy seasons with the heavy rain falls from April to July and a lighter rainy season in October and November. A dry weather is in August and September and then from December to March. This dry season goes along with by harmattan winds from the Sahara Desert, which can be strong between December and early February.
It is very famous saying that "Lagos is for tourists like England is for food". There is quite a large number of enormous beaches. Inside the city, Lekki is about as good as it gets. In addition to this Bar beach, Eleko Beach and Tarkwa beach are also marvels of that place.

Tourists are booking their flights and coming to this place through out the year. In Lagos, quite a huge variety of resorts and hotels are available. Famous resorts are:

Lagos is also known for its diverse culture. Its music is eminent throughout West Africa. This city has generated a range of styles such as highlife, juju, fuji, and Afrobeat. Lagos is the centre of the Nigerian film industry, often called to be 'Nollywood. Many films are shot in the Festac area of Lagos. Yoruba films occur to be the most watched in the cinemas, followed by Indian films. Iganmu is house to the National Arts Theatre, the main hub for the theater arts in Nigeria.

This city is very much safe for visitors. Thefts and all such aspects exist in some places; others be pleased about the culture and vivacity which can be found in the city as well. Many tourist's appealing places are like the Oba's Palace and latest amenities for foreign visitors are present specifically in Ikoyi and Victoria Island, such as the Silverbird Galleria, The Palms Shopping Mall, Eko Hotels & Suites & City Mall.

  • National Museum of Nigeria: it is placed at Awolowo Rd (Opp Muson Centre), Onikan, Lagos Island.
  • Didi Meuseum: it is situated on Victoria Island.
